Commercial Rebate

Rebate for the installation of commercial kiosks

Take advantage of government subsidy programs for the installation of your commercial charging station

If you are a business, municipality, or organization and wish to install charging stations for your corporate vehicles or for your employees’ vehicles, you may be eligible for financial assistance under the Go Green program.

Note, however, that as of April 18, 2019, employers are no longer required to provide free charging for their employees. However, offering this possibility remains an excellent initiative to encourage employees to adopt an electric vehicle.

Aid granted

Purchasing and installing a charging station

You can purchase or lease the charging stations you plan to install. A charging station equipped with multiple connectors must be able to charge as many electric vehicles simultaneously as there are connectors.

Financial assistance for the acquisition and installation of workplace charging stations is equal to 50% of eligible expenses up to a maximum of :

5,000 per wireless charging station

5,000 per connector (for a charging station with one or more connectors)

Rental and installation of a charging station

Financial assistance for the rental and installation of a workplace charging station is :

500 per charging station, or

500 per connector (for a charging station with one or more connectors)

and 50% of eligible expenses related to the installation of a charging station.

In all cases, the financial assistance cannot exceed $5,000 per wireless charging station or $5,000 per connector.

Conditions

Conditions of use to be respected

Each funded charging station must be maintained in service for a period of at least three years.

The charging station must be used for charging vehicles owned by the applicant (light-duty vehicle or bus fleet) or for charging vehicles owned by employees. It must be clearly marked as being for this purpose.

If you have any additional questions about the terms and conditions of use of the funded charging stations, please get in touch with us.

Number of Eligible Stations

There is no specific limit to the number of bollards or connectors installed and eligible for reimbursement. However, the maximum amount of financial assistance allocated per establishment is set at $25,000 per fiscal year.

For the Quebec government, a fiscal year begins on April 1 and ends on March 31 of the following year. The date of receipt of the claim determines the fiscal year related to the claim.

It is possible to submit a single rebate application for the acquisition and installation of several bollards, along with details of the work and costs related to each.
